And also when your favorite stores think that a $40 shirt on sale is a good deal.

Thank You

After attending the Thanksgiving mass this morning, I realized that the two people that deserve the most appreciation this year are my parents. Children would probably never recognize this but, I thank my parents, especially my mother for being strict; for pushing buttons, and calling me numerous times whenever I’m out with friends at night to ask what time I’m coming home. I’m thankful for all of these things that I hate the most simply because it reminds me of how much they care about me and their intention to protect me from harm.

It seems like the older we get, the less we recognize those who nurture us, and the more mature we become, the more we emotionally part from them. It’s really a shame that many of us only remember to give thanks on special occasions like Thanksgiving. Why not give thanks to that special someone everyday?

Thank you, beatriceeyales for constantly reminding me of who I am and encouraging me to believe in my abilities.
